Opportunities aplenty in capital region: Galla Jayadev VIJAYAWADA:Young Indian (Yi) Vijayawada Chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was launched here by Guntur MP Jayadev Galla.
Speaking on the occasion, Jayadev, who was past national chairman of Yi recalled his association with the organisation and how it helped him to become the person he is today.
'It was started with an objective to have the youth an opportunity to shape the future that they would inherit. In the form of CII a strong base is there for the Yi, which for years is shaping the future leaders in various spheres of activity,' he said.
He emphasised the need for collective effort and said Yi can take that initiative and inspire others to follow. He said post-bifurcation, an opportunity of a lifetime is in front of everyone to develop, more so in the capital region.
While interacting with members of the youngest chapter of Yi, he said the capital region has good scope for service sector and the peripherals have good scope for food processing given the abundant agriculture production.
He said once the blueprint for the capital city is ready in June, a clarity on which industry will come up where will emerge. 'Capital city is being developed in a such a manner that it will fulfil aspirations of many,' he said.
Jayadev said 50 per cent of the capital region will be earmarked for common space, that is roads, parks, green belt, etc., which is nearly double the space allocated for such purpose in different cities in the country till date.
