Vaastu scare haunts KCR HYDERABAD: Bad Vaastu, which is prompting the Telangana government to shift the Secretariat to the chest hospital premises at Erragadda, is paving the way for yet another change in the Secretariat. Though Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said the Secretariat will be shifted within a year, the government is spending `9.80 lakh to remove a lawn opposite C Block.
Though officials are saying that the lawn is being removed for smooth passage of CM's convoy, sources said the real reason is Vaastu. A portion of greenery opposite the C Block will be removed and a road laid soon for easy passage of the chief minister's convoy. The road will be widened by removing a part of the lawn between Nalla Pochamma temple and the D-Block.
At present, the CM's convoy, after entering the Secretariat through the Telangana Gate, takes at least two turns within the compound to reach C Block where the CMO is located. The change of road direction was mooted also for security reasons apart from Vaastu.
Immediately after Rao assumed charge as chief minister, officials inspected the area for laying a new road. An official decision was taken finally on Monday and the government sanctioned `9.80 lakh for removal of the lawn and laying of a new road.
