Telangana govt proposes to sell valuable lands HYDERABAD: The state government is continuing the process of identifying valuable lands and vacant space in various office buildings. Chief secretary Rajiv Sharma held another meeting at the Secretariat with officials of various departments on the available lands and buildings in Hyderabad.
Sources said, officials of each department furnished information about the lands and buildings available with their departments. According to sources these lands will be auctioned for the developmental works taken up by the state government.
The revenue generated through the sale of GHMC lands would be used for the developmental works taken up by GHMC. Likewise, revenue generated by the sale of lands available with irrigation department would be utilised for the programmes taken by the department.
Sources said that the chief secretary told the officials to place the information about the lands and buildings on Centre for Good Governance portal within a week.
