News reader Badri killed in road accident Hyderabad, Feb 8 (INN): Senior news reader, K Veerabhadra Rao, popularly known as Badri was killed in a tragic road accident today. His son Sai (12 years) died while going to the hospital. His wife, another son and another family member were injured when the car they were travelling in lost control and hit a roadside tree.
The accident occurred near Lakshmi Nagar of Dwaraka Tirumala mandal in West Godavari district on Sunday. According to police, a car tire burst is suspected to have caused the accident. The family was proceeding to a temple when the accident occurred. The injured were first taken to a hospital at Eluru and then shifted to Vijayawada.
Badri, 38, is a popular face on Telugu news channel TV9.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao, leaders of all political parties in both the States and the entire media fraternity have expressed deep shock over incident.
