Regional News: Hyderabad | Eligible voters can enroll till election notification: GHMC
Hyderabad, Nov 28 (INN): GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy informed that eligible voters can enroll and apply for corrections in their names in the electoral list till the GHMC election Notification is issued.
He further stated that the ward-wise voters list has already been announced and the BC voters list too has been displayed in the Circle Offices etc.,
The electors who want to enroll and for corrections and any other doubts can contact their concerned Deputy Commissioner before 2nd December. The final list of the BC Voters will be announced on 8th December.
There are 150 wards in GHMC limits for which Returning and Assistant Returning Officers have already been appointed and training classes also have been conducted in their respective zones today. The Commissioner further stated the Returning Officers have to inspect their respective polling stations after the same the final notice will be published said the Commissioner.
The second training programme will be given to the appointed Returning and Assistant Returning officers by Nagi Reddy, State Election Commissioner along with senior officials at JNTU Fine Arts College from 11 o clock on 1st December.
Dr. Janardhan Reddy said that a meeting with the recognized political parties will be conveyed on 5th December and he has appealed to all the City Presidents and Secretaries from all the political parties to participate in the meeting.
The details of electoral rolls are already kept in the GHMC website and the ward wise details will be available in the website within 10 days for which the GHMC is taking the help of Centre for good governance in this regard.
