Former Mayor Lakshmi Narayana passes away
Hyderabad: Lakshmi Narayana Mudiraj, former Mayor of Hyderabad passed away here on Wednesday. He was 85.
Lakshmi Narayana Mudiraj had served as Mayor of Hyderabad in the year 1969 ' 1970. He had also served as MLA from Maharajgun j Assembly Constituency from 1972-1978.
On hearing the news of Mudiraj's demise, GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar has visited the residence situated at Chudi Bazar in the Old City and paid tributes by placing a wreath. He also consoled the bereaved family members.
Somesh Kumar lauded the services of Lakshmi Narayana Mudiraj and said he had played a very key role in construction of Telangana martyrs memorial.
The State Government has declared as a State funeral as a mark of respect to the departed leader.
