TDP should own up Cyber crime, YCP

Hyderabad, March 6: Reiterating that Chandrababu Naidu should own up the responsibility of data theft, YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that how the confidential details of the residents of Andhra Pradesh can be linked to private parties which tantamount to cyber crime.

Addressing media after meeting the Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan, the Leader of Opposition has said, ' Chandrababu's involvement in the cyber crime is evident as the confidential details of the residents of Andhra Pradesh like the Aadhar and bank account were available with the private company called IT Grids. The wrongful procession and the linking of the details, collected by TDP government to the private players is a cyber crime and should be treated it in the same manner.'

We will also take up the issue with Election Commission and other concerned authorities as it is the breach of data and confidentiality which would lead to chaos if unchecked, he said.

Earlier, we had met the Chief Election Commissioner and complained about the large number of missing names from the electoral rolls and on detailed study the issue has come into the open. For the past 2.5 years Chandrababu Naidu has been collecting data on the households and the data procured has been linked to private player called IT Grids which is a cyber crime.

Considering the fact that 59 lakh bogus votes were present in the electoral list under various categories, we have lodged complaints with the competent authorities and have asked our cadre to file Form 7 and Form 6 if their name is not found or in case they felt of any foul play.

This is a natural democratic right as Form 7 initiates the process of inquiry to check whether or not the voter's name is genuine and does not delete the name automatically as being wrongfully propagated by the ruling Party, he said.

The comments on complaint being lodged in Hyderabad and trying to project it as a conflict between Andhra and Telangana regions is stooping to low levels by Chandrababu Naidu.

In any criminal case, the place of offence will be considered for lodging a complained and that was what happened and TDP is trying to project it in a distorted manner, he said.
