Students are future of nation, says Dy CM

By G.Janardhana Rao

Visakhapatnam: AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said on Wednesday students are the future of the nation and they should work for society.
Addressing valedictory of the three day mega cultural fest organised at Engineering College grounds as a part of the AU centenary celebrations the deputy Chief Minister said "You are not just university students, but the future of the nation."

He highlighted the importance of education in transforming the world, quoting Nelson Mandela. He praised AU's rich cultural heritage and its role in nation-building, urging students to become leaders in their fields.

He shared his personal experiences, saying, "I consider it a challenge to address students. One must engage in deep reflection to speak effectively." He encouraged students to channel their knowledge into practical solutions, benefiting society and the nation.

"The state is taking strides in the directions of education, empowerment, and innovation. Ultimately, it is our thoughts, values, and actions that will determine our destiny. Your knowledge and ideas must be channeled into formulating concrete solutions. Your efforts should yield meaningful outcomes and prove beneficial to both society and the nation," he said.

He expressed hope that they would grow into individuals of whom their friends and parents could speak with pride. He advised them that they should identify and embrace the positive qualities in others. He stated that he entered the realm of politics fully prepared to face the possibility of defeat. He cautioned against blindly subscribing to any ideology. He remarked that the true essence of life lies in their enthusiasm and exuberance.

The event featured captivating cultural programmes, including dance performances that left the audience enthralled. Students showed their admiration for Pawan Kalyan, dancing enthusiastically to the music.

AU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. G.P. Rajasekhar, stated that the centenary celebrations are being organised on a grand scale. He outlined the various programs that have been conducted over the past 11 months. He highlighted the events organised by the Technical, Cultural, and Outreach departments. Specifically, as part of the outreach initiative, he mentioned that programmes were conducted in Paderu and Parvathipuram regions with the aim of inspiring students in rural areas and guiding them towards higher education.

Cultural Fest Chairman N. Vijay Mohan praised Pawan Kalyan's humility. The event was attended by university officials, legislators, and students.
