Jagan to resume Yatra on Dec 27 HYDERABAD: YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will begin his second edition of his Samaikya Sankharavam which is meant to keep the party cadres in state of readiness ahead of elections, from Palamaneru in Chittoor district on December 27.
The Sankharavam will begin with a public meeting at Palamaneru. The assembly seat is vacant after the sitting TDP MLA N Amarnath Reddy joined the YSRC and faced disqualification.
Another shot in the arm for Jagan Mohan Reddy was Salur MLA (Congress) P Rajanna Dora joining his bandwagon. Rajanna Dora represented Saluru in the Assmebly in 2004 and 2009. He joined the YSRC in the presence of Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday.
Preparation for Jagan's Samaikya Sankharavam from Palamaneru have already begun. As Palamaneru constituency is considered a stronghold for Telugu Desam party, Jagan is keen on making inroads into Naidu's bastion. Having Amarnath Reddy on his side, Jagan is busy trying to proselytise voters into YSRC sympathisers.
From the beginning, Jagan has set his eyes on Chittoor district from where both chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu hail.
