Heavy rush of pilgrims in Tirumala Tirumala: There was a heavy rush of devotees in this famous temple town, with many waiting in queues to have the Lord's `darshan', which is taking about 18 hours. As a result, the TTD restricted the `special darshan' for the benefit of those seeking `Sarvadarshan' and walkers.
The rush, besides nonworking TTD servers, is adding to the devotees' woes. They are from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maha rashtra, beside the home State. All compartments in the Vaikuntam Complex II are packed. The queue extended to two km outside.
The queue of walkers waiting for `Divyadarshan' stretched one km to Narayanagiri. Even the number of pilgrims waiting to offer hair to the Lord is swelling. As a result they have had to wait for six hours. The crashed TTD servers on Saturday caused severe hardship to the pilgrims waiting for accommodation.
