CM hops from one wedding to other in few hours
VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy attended the engagement ceremony of Devineni Avinash, son of former minister Devineni Rajasekhar aka Nehru, at a convention centre here Wednesday. Avinash was engaged to Sudheera, daughter of Konganti Papaiah Chowdary and Sudharani of Vijayawada.
The CM was given a warm reception by the local Congress legislators Malladi Vishnuvardhan and Vellampally Srinivas, district collector M Raghunandana Rao, police commissioner B Srinivasulu and others.
Meanwhile, Union minister Daggubati Purandeswari and her husband and MLA Venkateswara Rao, ministers Kolusu Parthasarathi, Pitani Satyanarayana, Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy, actor Mohan Babu and his two sons, MLA Devineni Umamaheswar Rao and others attended the ceremony and blessed them.
The CM arrived from Visakhapatnam after attending Ganta Srinvasa Rao's daughter's marriage. After lunch, Kiran Reddy left for Rajahmundry to attend the wedding of Kothapeta MLA Bandaru Satyananda Rao's daughter Dr Ramya Chandra and Dr Gnana Bala Parameswara Rao at Cherukuri Gannemma Subba Rao Kalyana Mandapam.
