Mandali proposes for Rajahmundry as capital RAJAHMUNDRY: Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission chairman Mandali Buddha Prasad has said that if Rajahmundry is made capital of the state, there will be a lot of scope for development.
Releasing the bio-data of CP Brown, in the Brown Mandir here Thursday, he said the great spiritual personality Sivananda Murthi and some others favoured Rajahmundry as the capital.
The city has a hoary past, one to be reckoned with, and is therefore qualified to become the capital, he said. Buddha Prasad said that an in-depth research is needed on CP Brown as he had done a lot for the development of Telugu language.
'There is still a debate on the photo of Brown in the London library. Though there are two pictures of Brown at Kadapa and Rajahmundry, an investigation is underway for the original photo of Brown,' Buddha Prasad said.
Brown mandir coordinator Sannidhanam Sastry and APIIC former chairman S Sivarama Subramanyam were among those present.
