Purandeshwari pleads with Prez for changes in bill Hyderabad: Union minister D Purandeshwari on Thursday met President Pranab Mukherjee and apprised him of the repercussions following the bifurcation of the State and sought certain changes to the Telanagana bill.
Talking to reporters at Rashtrapathi Nilayam here after calling on the President, she said she had submitted a memorandum seeking to address the problems of Seemandhra.
The Union minister said that she apprised him of the injustice being meted out to Seemandhra if the State was bifurcated as per the draft bill. She brought to his notice some of the lapses in the State Reorganisation Bill-2013 and changes to it.
Purandeswari also said the Centre had to address the problems and demands of Seemandhra before going to implement the Congress Working Committee decision on Telangana.
