Lokesh asserts that his father is pro-farmer SANGAREDDY: Nara Lokesh, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's son, said his father, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, was never anti-farmer as peddled by his political rivals.
Lokesh made these comments on the sidelines of announcing 'Heritage Welfare Fund'of his family-run business, Heritage Foods. It assumed significance as the TDP's second-in-command chose TRS chief KCR's native district to make this announcement.
After inaugurating a veterinary medical camp at Majeedpalli, Mulugu Mandal, organised by Heritage Foods, he said the proposed fund will provide insurance facility to farmers and will provide financial support for the education of their children. He also informed that the funds will provide exgratia to farmers' families in case of the death of the breadwinner.
'Since my father himself is a farmer's son, can you expect him to ignore the plight of farmers? It is the handiwork of some selfish politicians who want to defame my father and brand him as anti-farmer. In fact, whenever I speak to him, he expresses lot of concern about farmers' welfare,' he said in a interaction with farmers.
