Probe begins into train fire accident Hyderabad, Dec 29 (INN): The 13-member team of Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL) on Sunday began probe into the fire accident in the AC Coach of Bangalore-Nanded Express that claimed lives of 26 passengers in the wee hours of Saturday.
The forensic experts examined the burnt coach and collected evidence from the ill-fated AC coach. They were assistance by the senior officials of Anantapur police. The experts also began the DNA profiling to ascertain the identity of those who bodies were charred beyond recognition. So far, only 13 bodies have been identified.
It may mentioned that 26 passengers, including two children, were charred to death when fire ripped through an AC coach of the Bangalore-Nanded Express near the Kothacheruvu Railway Station of Anantapur district. As many as 13 others were injured in the fire accident.
