'State would have intact if YSR were alive' CHITTOOR: Demanding the Congress-led UPA government to keep the state united, YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the ruling party has to pay heavy price if it goes ahead with the proposed state division.
Addressing people at various villages under Peddapanjani mandal on Sunday as part of his 'Samaikya Shankaravam' yatra in the district, he said that the state might have remained united if his father and late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy were alive.
Alleging that the people will never believe TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, despite his Praja Garjana, Jagan wanted Naidu to take a pro-Samaikyandhra stand instead of cheating people.
People are watching all the political gimmicks of the chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and the TDP chief Naidu. They will teach both the leaders a befitting lesson, he said.
Responding to the sugarcane farmers concern over the government not announcing a proper MSP for sugarcane, Jagan assured farmers that his party will announce remunerative price before starting the crushing season if voted to power.
