Cops impose restrictions on New Year's revelry Hyderabad, Dec 30 (INN): Cyberabad Commissioner CV Anand has imposed certain traffic restrictions on the occasion of New Year Celebrations ' 2014.
The following routes are being closed from 11 PM on December 31 to 5 AM on January 1st: The Outer Ring Road will be closed for Light Motor Vehicles and Passenger Vehicles; Medium and Heavy Goods Vehicles will be however allowed.
However, bonafide passengers traveling on light motor vehicles will be allowed on the ORR, subject to production of air tickets. All the flyovers in Cyberabad commissionerate jurisdiction and the PVNR Express Way too will remain closed during the stipulated timings.
The Commissioner has advised the participants to avoid the above roads. Further, the organizers of various events / celebrations should engage sufficient Private Security Personnel for Traffic Management to regulate the Traffic inside and into the venue.
They should ensure parking of all vehicles inside the premises of the venue only. They should not allow parking on the roads used by general public.
Check Posts will be set up by Police at various places as decided to check rash and drunken driving. Public are advised to follow all safety and traffic rules.
