News: Headline News | Jagan slams Naidu for his tall talk Chowdepalli (Chittoor dist), December 30: Calling the bluff of N Chandrababu Naidu on his tall talk of seeking justice to all regions of the State, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said the TDP leader did not utter a single word on keeping the State united and has been unabashedly helping Sonia Gandhi who wants to divide the State with the motive to see her son as Prime Minister.
'This is a fight between Telugu self-pride and Delhi arrogance and Chandrababu Naidu has been helping Delhi to divide the State on one hand and on the other is staking tall claims of seeking justice in the division. In his Praja Garjana yatra, Naidu did not utter a single word on keeping the State united while over 70 % of the population is opposing the division.
When a draft Bill is sent without a resolution in the State Assembly, is that not injustice, 'YS Jagan Mohan Reddy pointedly asked him during his Samaikya Sankaravam after unveiling the statue of YSR here on Monday.
'No state was ever divided without an assembly resolution and national leaders have expressed solidarity with YSRCP on this issue. But Naidu does not see through this fallacy and he never speaks of this anomaly. He is working in tandem with Sonia Gandhi and helping her in dividing the State at the earliest. She wants to divide the State to make her son Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister.
But we have to teach the corrupt Congress and immoral TDP a fitting lesson in the ensuing elections and show them their place as they have no concern for the people's plight but they only take political mileage into account, he said.
The political system is getting rotten and a fresh current has to gush in throwing out the people who are indifferent to burning issues. Sonia Gandhi has been playing with our future to make her son Prime Minister and leader of opposition, Chandrababu Naidu instead of questioning her has been extending a helping hand at the cost of the future of local populace.
While it is he who has tie-up with Congress he has been blaming YSRCP which shows the levels to which he can stoop to. Value-based politics have become very rare. People remembering YSR four years after his death shows that he is in the hearts of the people and the void is not filled yet.
Leaders are not keeping their promises. It is not how many years you have lived that matters, but it is how you lived those years that matter. YSR is still adored across the State as he touched people of all sections through his welfare schemes.
Farmers have told me that they have to dig 100 feet deep to get water. If the water situation is this worse when the state is united what will happen if another state comes in between. We are not getting a drop of water unless the upper riparian states of Maharashtra and Karnataka have fulfilled their needs.
If a third state comes in between, the region will turn into a desert as we will not get the Krishna waters and from Kuppam to Srikakulam there will be no drinking water. If Hyderabad is out of bounds for us where will the educated youth go for jobs, Naidu must not have seen any injustice in this situation.
The TDP leader's speeches lack substance and sincerity. Congress and TDP should be taught a fitting lesson in the coming elections and the mandate should be given to the party which is committed for Samaikyandhra and has been opposing Sonia Gandhi and her division politics.
Later speaking at a public meeting held at Punganeru, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took on Chandrababu Naidu for his nefarious deeds and his Praja Garjana speech which has no relevance to the crisis the state is facing.
Picking up the TDP leader's one hour speech at Tirupati, the YSRCP President said, 'Chandrababu Naidu has been speaking through his hat. Instead of voicing concern over the state division, he has turned the platform into an election meeting and went on preaching morals on corruption and trying tell that Jagan has a deal with Congress.
'It is the other way round as it was Naidu who had an understanding with Congress and they both filed cases against Jagan and I had to spend 16 months in jail. When the bail came in normal course, he started making a hue and cry out of it.
It was Naidu who had a deal with Congress during the by-elections, during the MLC elections in Chittoor district itself and it was Naidu who has been saving the Congress government both at the Centre and at the State. He allowed his MPs to abstain from voting during the crucial FDI voting and issued a whip to his MLAs to save Congress when we moved the no-confidence motion against Kiran Kumar Reddy government.
It was Naidu who has been always helping Congress and Sonia Gandhi and this time around he is toeing the same line on the state division issue.
Naidu speaking of corruption and elections promises like free power and prohibition is nothing short of a gimmickry. He has watered down all the welfare schemes of NTR including subsidized power to farmers and lifting of prohibition and when YSR has promised free power he has poked fun at him.
His nine-year term as Chief Minister was a nightmare for farmers who were driven to suicides and now if he speaks of free power, people will not be convinced as his past will haunt him.
Everyone knows that his family has a small land holding when he entered politics in 1978. Now his business has swelled beyond states and he has amassed wealth. During his term he was involved in dark deals and allotted 530 acres of land at throwaway prices to companies with questionable credentials to build villas in heart of the city.
As a care-taker Chief Minister he has allotted 830 acres of land to a shady company called IMG Bharatha and the CBI doesn't even issue a notice to him. All this is only because he has a tacit understanding with the Congress and they are working for mutual benefit.
Naidu speaking that Jagan has a deal with Congress is absurd as it has been Naidu who has joined hands with Congress to take on the common adversary. Things are very clear now and the votaries of Samaikyandhra should be united and we should win 30 Lok Sabha seats to ensure that the State is united, he said.
