Bifurcation only to destroy TDP, fumes Naidu HYDERABAD: Accusing Congress, TRS and YSRC of colluding to damage TDP politically, party chief N Chandrababu Naidu said state bifurcation was taken up by the Congress to destroy the TDP in both Seemandhra and Telangana.
Addressing a meeting of women at Kattedan industrial slum area in Rajendranagar Assembly constituency here, Chandrababu alleged that as the TDP was getting stronger in the state and Congress was losing its base. Congress had decided to divide the state without doing proper exercise and taking into consideration the concerns of the people of both the regions to create confusion among the people, he said.
'The Congress was dividing the state for votes and seats and playing with the lives of people of the state. As it has become clear that TDP would be doing well in the coming elections, Congress entered into a secret pact with TRS and YSRC and decided to divide the state. The Congress was only concerned about its poll prospects and least bothered about the common man's problem,' he alleged.
'As a person who has been serving the state for more than 30 years, I want both the regions to develop and live in peace. TDP was born to fight for the cause of Telugu people and would continue it even after division. I want the Centre to address the concerns of the people of both the regions before the division,' he said.
Coming down heavily on Congress president Sonia Gandhi, the TDP chief said she has ruined the country and encouraging corruption. 'Sonia has created Anacondas like YS Rajasekhara Reddy, YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Robert Vadra, who were looting the people,' he alleged.
