None can stop T-state formation, says KCR HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao said Telangana state formation is inevitable and no one can stop it.
Addressing a gathering at Telangana Gazetted Officers (TGOs) Association diary release function at TGO Bhavan on Thursday, he said that under no circumstances, Telangana state formation will stop.
Both ruling and the main opposition party were in favour of separate Telangana state and except for a couple of parties like CPM and Samajwadi Party, all others are also for it. Hence Telangana Bill will be passed with highest majority in the history of Parliament, he said.
Chandrasekhara Rao said that the BJP leader LK Advani had made it clear that Telagnana state will become a reality and for it to happen, the Parliament has not yet been prorogued. ''What can chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy do, when BJP and Congress have decided to see that the Bill is passed in the Parliament,'' he questioned.
TRS chief hailed the foresight of Dr BR Ambedkar for Article 3 in the Constitution and explained the genesis of the Article and how Ambedkar had convinced others of the need of the Article and vesting of powers for creation of new states and alteration of state boundaries solely with the Parliament.
'Even Supreme Court in various cases on various occasions had made it clear that the decision of Parliament on the issue of state creation and division is total and final,'' he said adding that a state Assembly can only make suggestions and express its opinion.
The TRS chief also said that getting the T-Bill passed in Parliament is very simple as the requirement to get it passed is a simple majority among the MPs present in the House on the day.
'Every Parliamentarian we came across in the lobbies and corridors of Parliament had supported Telangana and were of the opinion that it had been already delayed,'' he said.
Finding fault with continuing opposition from Seemandhra, he ridiculed their argument and said that it had brought the real intentions of the chief minister, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, LSP chief Jayaprakash Narayan to the fore.
The TRS chief also opposed the proposed distribution of employees and pensioners based on population. He said all those in favour of T-state will discuss the strategy needed to be adopted till the T-Bill is passed in Parliament on Friday.
