Hyderabad realtor found dead in Nellore hotel NELLORE: A realtor was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a lodge near RTC bus stand here late Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Tummala Arunkumar Reddy (46) of Somasila village in Ananthasagaram mandal.
According to police, Reddy is survived by a wife and two children and had shifted to Hyderabad for taking up business in the city. He was residing at Dattatreya Colony area in Asif Nagar.
Reddy had partnered with two other realtors--A Sudarshan Reddy and Vamareddy Radhakumar Reddy--of Nellore district. The trio had purchased 10 acres of land during the government's land auction in Madanapalle in Chittoor district two years ago.
Sudarshan and Radhakumar borrowed some amount from Arunkumar registered 5 acres in the latter's name. Later, Arunkumar developed the land and started getting good offers for it.
After learning about the good deals that Arunkumar was receiving, the duo began pressurising him to return the land to them. This led to disputes between the trio and the matter was taken up with a youth Congress leader C Devakumar Reddy a few days ago.
Following Devakumar's instructions, Arunkumar arrived in Nellore on Friday morning and checked into a lodge. He was found hanging from the ceiling in his room on Saturday.
It is learnt that Arunkumar had heated arguments with some of Radhakumar's followers on Saturday morning in his hotel room.
Learning about the death, the IV Town police rushed to the spot and a case of suspicious death has been registered. Police are investigating to determine whether he was murdered by his rivals or committed suicide.
