Uday Kiran's funeral tomorrow Hyderabad: Last rites, according to family sources, to the body of actor Uday Kumar, who died on Sunday night by hanging self, will be performed tomorrow at Erragadda burial grounds in the city. The body was kept at NIMS mortuary till the arrival of his sister from Muscat.
She broke down and wept inconsolably after seeing the mortal remains of her brother at NIMS mortuary. Later the actors close friends and relatives took the body to his Srinagar colony residence. The actors body will be kept at Film Chamber office from tomorrow morning for the sake of film industry and his fans to pay last respects before being laid to rest.
As soon as news of his death spread, colleagues from the film fraternity expressed shock while also showering praises on the departed soul's good side. If you take a look at the condolence tweets, it clearly shows what a good person Uday had been. So, it was a rude shock to the entire Tollywood film industry and Andhra Pradesh to learn that young actor Uday Kiran (34) allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself.
Though he is no more, his eyes have been donated. Uday Kiran's eyes were donated to the LV Prasad hospital. The doctors of LV Prasd removed the retina of the actor. His eyes will now lend sight to a blind person. It remains to be seen which lucky person will get Uday's eyes. Thus, the actor continues to remain good even after his death.
The Tollywood film fraternity has expressed shock over the unexpected demise of the actor. Celebrities Srikanth, Tanish, Tarun, Ayyapa P Sharma, Bhopal, Purna Naidu and Siva Krishna visited Apollo Hospital to pay their last respects.
I was shocked to know about Uday's suicide, said film-maker Teja who directed the actor in Chitram. Director Teja whose first film was with Uday Kiran, said that it will be too good if this news is wrong. "One of my friends called me and informed about Uday's death. I saw Uday for the last time at his wedding function and he looked happy at that time," Teja said.
Any actor would be depressed if they go out of work as an actor's life revolves around movies, Teja added. "He is a good person. Since my career is not good, I wanted to do a film with Uday after sometime. But this happened suddenly." When asked if anyone put a halt on Uday's career, he categorically replied that media persons are well aware of it than him.
