Anam Hints at Vote on T-bill HYDERABAD: Though the Centre wanted Andhra Pradesh Legislature to express its views on the AP Reorganisation Bill-2013, Kiran Kumar Reddy government is likely to take voting on the same.
Finance minister Anam Ramanrayana Reddy did not rule out voting on the T-Bill. He indirectly hinted that there would be voting on the Bill. When the debate on the T-Bill resumed in the state Assembly on Thursday, YSRC leader Vijayamma wanted Speaker Nadendla Manohar to first take voting on the Bill and debate the Bill next.
'We have doubts whether there will be voting on T-Bill or not at the end of the debate. The House should first take voting on the Bill and proceed for the debate. The House should reject the Bill,' she demanded.
Giving clarification to her demand, finance minister Ramanarayana Reddy said that the same issue was raised by Vijayamma in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meetings and it was answered.
'We will send the views of the members and the opinion of the entire House to the Centre. But, how the views will be recorded will be decided after the debate,' Ramanarayana Reddy said.
He did not say that there would be no voting on the Bill. 'Insisting for voting on the Bill before the debate is not correct. We will decide it only after the debate,' he said.
YSRC MEMBERS SUSPENDED: Notwithstanding the explanation by Ramanarayana Reddy, the YSRC members staged a dharna near the podium demanding immediate voting on the T-Bill. They demanded that the T-Bill should be defeated and wanted clarity whether voting will take place or not.
As the members disrupting the debate, the House moved a motion suspending the YSRC members for the day. Vijayamma later staged a walkout protesting against the suspension of their members. Later, the MLAs staged a dharna near Ravindra Bharati. All of them were taken into custody and shifted to Gosha Mahal stadium for obstructing traffic.
Jagan Flays CM for Suspension of MLAs
Chittoor: YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy vented out his ire on the government on Thursday for suspending YSRC MLAs from the Assembly.
Alleging that both chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu decided to send the YSRC MLAs from Assembly as they were aware that the YSRC MLAs are the only hurdle for them from taking up a debate. As they decided to take up the debate on state division, the YSRC MLAs were suspended for raising voice for United AP.
