Kiran on AICC Poll Panel HYDERABAD: At a time when several of his peers from Seemandhra have doubts over the possibility of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy parting ways with the Congress to launch his own political party, Kiran Reddy who is being praised as the 'loyal Congress man' by the AICC functionaries has been picked for a key assignment of the party.
AICC supremo Sonia Gandhi has appointed Kiran Reddy as a member of the party's screening committee to select the party candidates for the 2014 general elections from the state. The committee was announced late Thursday night by AICC general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi.
The screening committee for AP will be headed by Vayalar Ravi. Apart from party state affairs incharge Digvijaya Singh and Kiran Reddy, PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana, Bhakta Charan Das are its members. Kiran has been appointed as member by virtue of his position as CLP leader.
