News: Headline News | BJP condemns sale of VIP tickets by TTD
Hyderabad, Jan 16 (INN): BJP State President G Kishan Reddy on Thursday condemned the sale of VIPs tickets for the 'Vaikunta Ekadasi' festivities in Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) by subjecting common pilgrims to severe difficulties.
Addressing a press conference at the State BJP Headquarters at Nampally here, alleged that the authorities have registered cases against the common devotees who staged protest against the denial of opportunity to perform pooja. He demanded that all cases registered against the pilgrims should be withdrawn immediately.
The BJP president also demanded a thorough probe into the murder of Christian priest in Viqarabad. He demanded that the culprits should be arrested and punished for the murder.
Kishan Reddy informed that the BJP's national executive would meet in New Delhi from Friday to discuss "Mission - 272" for the next elections. He said that the party's central leadership would finalise the strategy for 2014 elections.
He hoped that the country would get a corruption-free and Congress-free Government at the Centre under the leadership of Narendra Modi. He claimed that thousands of youth were joining the politics to support Modi's candidature.
The BJP leader appealed to the political parties to cooperate in the debate on Telangana Bill in the State Legislative Assembly. He said that there was no need to extend the deadline to hold the debate in Assembly on Telangana Bill.
