Undecided Kiran plans a brainstorming
HYDERABAD: With the T process at a critical stage, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is working overtime to chalk out his next political move. He will be busy this weekend brainstorming with his ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs from Seemandhra.
He had preliminary talks with some Seemandhra ministers and MPs at his camp office Friday. Among those who met Kiran are Union Textiles Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, MPs Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, V Arun Kumar, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Sabbam Hari, GV Harsha Kumar and A Sai Prathap.
Interestingly, he is not inviting lawmakers, who are expected to sink or sail with the Congress, for the meetings. Among such uninvited are Ministers Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Dokka Manikyavara Prasad, Pasupuleti Balaraju and MPs like KVP Ramachandra Rao, sources said.
It is likely that the Seemandhra leaders may urge him to float a party even at this late hour. But, sources told that, Kiran may not bite the party bullet.
The Chief Minister is also likely to stage yet another protest in the national capital either on Feb 18 or 19 when the AP Reorganisation Bill-2013 comes up for discussion in the Lok Sabha.
Sources said 10 trains from Seemandhra have already been booked to transport those interested in taking part in the rally to Delhi.
The Chief Minister will discus with his Seemandhra leaders whether he should address the Delhi rally in the first place and if so, if he should resign. Then again, if he decides to resign, whether he should do it before addressing the rally or after.
Within the Congress there is a section that feels Kiran might continue as Chief Minister even in a caretaker capacity. Such a scope exists if Seemandhra is adequately compensated by the Centre.
