Gandra accuses Seemandhra leaders of fake protests Hyderabad, Feb 16 (INN): Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy on Sunday alleged that Seemandhra leaders were trying to stage a fake protest in Delhi by mobilising paid crowds.
Speaking to media persons at the CLP office here, Gandra said that the Seemandhra leaders failed to stop Telangana debate in the State Legislative Assembly.
However, now they are organising protests in the national capital to obstruct debate on Telangana Bill in the Parliament. However, he said that paid activists and fake protests would have no impact on the process of Telangana formation.
Gandra alleged that the BJP's real stand on Telagana has been exposed. After promising to support the Telangana Bill in Parliament, the BJP is now trying to defeat the Bill to stop State's bifurcation at the instance of Seemandhra leaders. He demanded that the BJP clarify its stand on Telangana Bill and honour its promise.
He also demanded that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu withdraw his remarks against AICC President Sonia Gandhi and tender an unconditional apology for comparing her with Mahatma Gandhi's killer Nathuram Godse.
