Ponguleti wants case against Naidu for "Godse" remarks Hyderabad, Feb 16 (INN): Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Sunday demanded that DGP B Prasada Rao instruction registration of a suo motto case against TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu for his alleged derogatory remarks against UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
Addressing a press conference at CLP office here, Ponguleti accused Naidu of trying to provoke people of Telangana region by comparing Sonia Gandhi with Nathuram Godse, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi. He asked Naidu to apologise for his comments and withdraw the same. Else, he said that the DGP should book a suo motto case against Naidu and arrest him.
Ponguleti also accused BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi of changing his stand on Telangana issue. Describing Modi as an opportunist, he said Modi's dream of becoming country's next Prime Minister would remain a dream. He expressed confidence that Telangana State would a reality in the next few days and Congress party will return to power both in the country and State.
