Development will be hit if BJP loses by-polls: Lakshman Hyderabad, Sept 4 (INN): BJP floor leader in Telangana Assembly Dr K Lakshman on Thursday said that the development of entire Telangana would be hit if BJP candidate Jagga Reddy fails to win the by-election for Medak Lok Sabha constituency.
Addressing a press conference at State BJP office here, Lakshman said that the outcome of Medak by-elections would have a long-term impact on the developmental activities in the State.
He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was not serious on the development of new State and after the victory in Medak by-polls he would further neglect the development works.
Therefore, in order to force the TRS Government work in positive direction, it was necessary for the Medak voters to ensure the victory of BJP candidate T Jayaparakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy. He promised that the BJP would ensure extension of Hyderabad Metro Rail project from Miyapur up to Sangareddy if it wins the Medak by-elections.
Lakshman said that the TRS came to power by making promises on four major issues related to power, water, farmers and students. However, KCR did not pay attention to address any of these issues.
He alleged that KCR has been using a section of media to give dramatic turns to these issues. He is even afraid of convening an Assembly session to discuss these issues of high public importance, he alleged.
Further, he alleged that the Chief Minister was taking legal opinion to pass the State's budget through an ordinance.
