T-Cong lodges complaint against TRS leaders Hyderabad, Sept 7 (INN): The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Sunday met Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal and lodged a complaint against the TRS leaders accusing them of violating the code of conduct in Medak by-elections.
TPCC official spokesperson B Kamalakar Rao and General Secretary T Kumar Rao in their complaint alleged that the leaders and activists of Telangana Rashtra Samithi have been mollifying the voters with their false promises and also manhandled the Congress party leaders and workers in Siddipet of Medak parliamentary constituency.
They alleged that when former minister D Sridhar Babu, along with other leaders and activists, were in padayatra in Chodavaram village of Chinakodur mandal, TRS MPTC Bhoom Reddy and his henchmen manhandled them on September 6. After the incident, Sridhar Babu had lodged a complaint in the Chinakodur Police Station.
Similarly, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao is pressurizing the Gram Panchayats to make a unanimous resolution to vote in favor of TRS candidate in Medak by-election proposed to be held on September 13. In this regard several Gram Panchayats have made resolutions in view of the pressure of Harish Rao, they alleged.
The Telangana Congress leaders requested the CEO to take immediate action against the TRS leaders to ensure free and fair polls.
