A muslim bags Ganesh laddu in auction Warangal: In what is regarded a symbol of unity in diversity , a Muslim youth, Riyaz, a resident of Second Phase Doctors Colony in Warangal city, bagged the Ganesh Laddu in auction on the eve of Ganesh immersion ceremony here on Sunday.
The youth took part in the celebrations for the past nine days and he was instrumental in erecting even the pandal of Ganesh in the colony. He took part in the auction along with his family members and purchased the Laddu for Rs.5,1786.
Announcing his gesture as a symbol of communal harmony, the organisers felt happy and even Riyaz said that he was expecting a successful future in his life as he believes in the words "sab ka maalik ek hai".
Meanwhile, the Ganesh immersion celebrations were held in Warangal under the banner of the Ganesh Utsav Samithi. People in large numbers took part in the celebrations.
