SCR reviews case of Hitec copying in RRC Exam Hyderabad, Dec 1 (INN): The case of copying using hi-tech gadgets by some candidates appearing for the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) exam conducted on Sunday has been viewed with serious concern by the South Central Railway. Taking note of this incident, the SCR administration has immediately conducted a detailed review in this case.
The SCR officials have been working in close liaison with the local Police officials for obtaining full details of the case busted by Cyberabad Police yesterday.
On getting the official police investigation report, necessary disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against any Railway employee(s), involved in the case. It will also be ensured that stringent action is taken against the errant staff.
The Railway Recruitment Cell of SCR has undertaken filling up 2801 vacancies in the erstwhile Group-'D' category posts of Trackman, Helper-II and Asst.Pointsman. 9,16,791 eligible applicants were issued with hall tickets for appearing in the written examination. The written exam was conducted in five phases on five consecutive Sundays in November, 2014.
As many as 3,91,018 candidates (42.65% of the candidates called) appeared for the examination conducted at 182 examination centers in six cities across the SCR Zone viz. at Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tirupati and Nanded.
SCR deployed hundreds of officers and staff for this exam, which has been conducted smoothly, barring the incident of copying detected in the fifth and last phase of exam held on Sunday.
