Guntur man working for a construction firm in Nigeria kidnapped VIJAYAWADA: An MBA graduate from Guntur district who went to Nigeria only recently to work in a construction company has been kidnapped along with two Pakistani nationals by unidentified persons.
According to information reaching here, the MBA graduate, Tanguturi Srinivasa Rao, who hails from Chintalapudi, was in a hotel room when the assailants took him and two others as hostages and disappeared on Friday last (November 28).
So far, the whereabouts of Srinivasa Rao are not known. The kidnappers did not spell out their demands and there was no ransom demand either.
Family members of Srinivasa Rao in Chintalapudi say that he had gone to Nigeria along with one Chandrasekhar and both of them are working in a construction company in Bay Elsa state which is in core Niger delta.
With the culprits not spelling out demands, Chandrasekhar is reportedly in touch with the Indian embassy in Nigeria but so far there has been no breakthrough. His parents are in touch with Chandrasekhar.
AP NRI Minister P Raghunath Reddy said steps will be taken in consultation with the ministry of External Affairs to secure the early release of Srinivasa Rao.
