Somesh Kumar appointed GHMC special officer
Hyderabad, Dec 2 (INN): In view of completion of five-year term of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, the Telangana Government on Tuesday appointed senior IAS Officer Somesh Kumar as the GHMC Special Officer.
Although Somesh Kumar is already the Special Officer, from Wednesday onwards, he would exercise the powers, perform the duties and discharge the functions of the Corporation and the Standing Committee. He will be the Special Officer for a period of six months with effect from December 4 or until elected Council assumes office, whichever is earlier.
