World Bank to assist cyclone Hudhud rehabilitation works Hyderabad, Dec 3 (INN): The World Bank Country Director Omno Rahl and Country Director of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Theresakho on Wednesday called on Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao at the Secretariat for an update on the relief and rehabilitation works of the cyclone Hudhud damages in the State.
The World Bank team lead by Tarun Bajaj, Jt.Secretary (MI), Department of Economic Affairs participated in an hour long presentations by Secretaries on the rehabilitation works of cyclone HUDHUD in the state.
The Chief Secretary convened a meeting of Secretaries of all departments connected with the rehabilitation and relief works of the Cyclone Hudhud to appraise the World Bank delegation on the task ahead in rehabilitation works.
The senior officials of the Energy, Infrastructure, Housing, R&B, Forest, MA&UD, Panchayat Raj, Irrigation, etc departments made presentations on the impact of Hudhud Cyclone and loss of public property occurred by the State.
The world bank/ADB officials are on a mission to assess the damages caused by the cyclone Hudhud and to offer for assistance for rehabilitation and construction of infrastructures.
World Bank/ADB officials promised to take the dialogue further and prepare a road map project for assisting the Cyclone affected areas with special focus on priority areas suggested by the AP Government.
