Engg student lands behind bars for stealing high end cars HYDERABAD: A fetish for luxurious BMW cars and long drives with his girlfriend has landed a B Tech student in the arms of police. Suman, 22, who stole a BMW car from a pub in an upscale hotel in Jubilee Hills recently to go on a long drive with his girlfriend, was picked up by police following a complaint from a senior advocate who owns the car.
During interrogation, Suman also confessed that he had stolen two BMW cars in Madhapur and Gachibowli. 'He goes for long drives with his girlfriend. He used to vist pubs with his girlfriend. He would locate BMWs parked in the pubs and scoot in the high-end cars,' a police official said. Police are yet to recover the stolen BMWs from the accused.
A few days ago, Suman took away the advocate's BMW parked in the pub. The lawyer had gone to the pub and when he came out, found his car missing from the parking lot. Following the lawyer's complaint, police checked the CCTV footage and chanced upon Suman who was seen driving away in the BMW with his girlfriend.
Police said Suman was addicted to leading a lavish lifestyle and to maintain his rich habits, he started stealing the high-end cars. He used to frequent pubs along with his girlfriend.
