TDP has enrolled 2.9 lakh members in Telangana
Hyderabad, Dec 6 (INN): Telangana TDP Election Committee convener E Peddireddy on Saturday claimed that the party has enrolled over 2.9 lakh members during the membership launched on November 3.
Speaking to media persons after inauguration of an electronic board on membership drive here, Peddireddy said that people of Telangana have been joining the party in large numbers.
Nearly 10 lakh people are expected to enroll themselves as the TDP members during the ongoing membership drive. He said that the tremendous response to the membership drive should silence the Telangana Rashtra Samithi which had claimed that TDP would be wiped out in Telangana.
Peddireddy said that the TDP would come back to power in the next elections and prove all its critics wrong. He said even Sachin Tendulkar hit several centuries after scoring a duck in earlier matches.
Similarly, the TDP would make a comeback in the State with more vigour. He said that the TDP would continue to play the role of a constructive opposition and expose the failures of TRS Government in the State.
