Man comes alive to the shock of family WARANGAL: In a bizarre incident, a man thought to be dead by his family members had come alive while they were about to perform his last rites in Warangal city.
Kola Anil Kumar, 30, of Yellambaza in Warangal, had left the home without informing members of his family on Wednesday after he was admonished by his parents for quitting Ayyappa deeksha abruptly. He switched off his mobile phone also so that he would not be traced.
Following this, the parents approached the Mattewada police and also launched a search for the 'missing' son in Warangal and at their relatives' places but in vain. 'We have been searching for him,' said Anil's brother Ravi.
In the meantime, the family came to know that an unidentified body was found by the Government Railway Police (GRP) on the railway tracks at Sivanagar locality in the town. They approached the police and examined the body kept at the MGM Hospital mortuary on Friday. After taking a look, they deduced that it cannot be the body of Anil.
But after learning that Anil's red T-shirt was missing from the home and the corpse had a red T-shirt, they assumed it was Anil and took the body home.
They started making arrangements for the 'funeral'. Even as the funeral proceedings were going on, Anil called one of his friends Suresh at around 11.30 am to know the reaction of his parents after his disappearance.
Shocked by the call from the 'dead man', Suresh informed him about the developments that had followed after his disappearance and his 'funeral' under progress at their home.
Saying that he was very much alive, Anil called up his father K Laxminarayana and mother Laxmi, who were in a state of shock and told them that he would be reaching the home. He arrived one-and-a-half hours later from his friend's place in Khammam, much to the relief of his parents.
'We are so lucky. Our son has come alive,' they said, as tears of joy rolled down their cheeks. Soon, the family members returned the unidentified body to the police, who shifted it to the MGM Hospital mortuary. Well, the incident was the talk of the town and created a sensation.
