Naidu wants solar power to be at cheap rates HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu urged Softbank company, which has expressed its desire to work with AP on solar power project, to develop solar power at cheaper rate.
Softbank executive advisor Raman Nanda met Naidu at Secretariat here and explained to him about his company's plans. Nanda also met energy department officials and enquired about the costs for the proposed solar project.
Naidu requested the Softbank executive to work with the AP government officials on the manufacturing costs and make it cost-effective for consumers. He stated that AP has the advantage of abundant water and 24X7 power supply.
