Road accident victim turns out to be wanted criminal Hyderabad, Dec 9 (INN): A 35-year-old man, who was killed in a road accident in Shamshabad rural police on December 5, turned out to be a wanted criminal.
According to Shamshabad Rural Inspector Uma Maheshwar Rao, the victim, Chandrashekar Reddy died on the spot when the car he was driving rammed into a lorry near Pedda Golconda on ORR on December 5.
Enquiries by the police revealed that the Chandrasekhar alias Chandu, a native of Khammam, was involved in multiple criminal cases including kidnapping and cheating.
He had escaped from the custody of Ongole Police a few months ago while being shifted to a court. His escape had also led to the suspension of four constables.
The car involved in the accident is also suspected to be a stolen vehicle. Further investigations are on.
