AP Govt to unveil new Biotech Policy Hyderabad, Dec 12 (INN): The Godavari Knowledge Park in association with JNTUK, Kakinada is organizing Bio Andhra - 2014, the first International conference on Marine and Agricultural Bio-technology at JNTU, Kakinada Campus from 15 to 17 December.
The objective of the conference to provide a platform for new initiatives and partnerships with a clear measures and metrics common to researchers, technologists, venture capitalists and policy makers to set a sensible, actionable and workable road maps for Andhra Pradesh as new bio-tech destination.
The purpose of the conference is to generate excitement and inspire individuals with deep research interests and promote disciplined applied research in academic institutions with a view to sharing socio-technically relevant ideas and providing a platform for new initiatives and partnerships in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The conference is being organized with active support from Andhra Pradesh State Government, which is proposing to unveil the new Life Sciences & Biotech policy for the new state.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, along with State ministers, are expected for the conference and is likely to unveil the new Biotech Policy.
Further, the conference is being attended by a special UN representative besides eminent scientists, dignitaries and industrialists from across the globe. Senior officials from Government of India and various State Governments of the country will be attending this Conference.
Heads of Department of Science & Technology, Department of Biotech, CSIR, CIPET and prominent of research institutes are expected apart from several scientists, Industrialists & students are expected to participate in the conference.
