Appointment of TTD chairman delayed HYDERABAD: The naming of chairman and members of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board is likely to be delayed for another week as the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is understood to have decided to constitute the board only after commencement of the ensuing session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly, scheduled to begin on December 18.
As far as appointing members from the Telangana State is concerned, Naidu is said to be considering the name of Vanteru Pratap Reddy, who had unsuccessfully contested the last Assembly polls from Gajwel segment against the TS Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
For post of another member from the new State, the Chief Minister reportedly zeroed in on the candidatures of TDP MLAs Sandra Venkata Veeraiah (Satthupalli) and G Sayanna (Secunderabad Cantonment).
Coming to AP, Naidu is said to be leaning towards nominating BJP leader (Tirupati) G Bhanuprakash Reddy, TDP MLAs Yarapatineni Srinivasa Rao (Gurajala) and Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy (Pendurthi) as the members in the board. He is said to have made up his mind to name Nita Ambani from the Reliance Group as one of the members of the board.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister is said to be positively considering the candidature of former TDP MLA Chadalawada Krishnamurthy for the post of the chairman of the TTD trust board.
