According to APCC general secretary TJR Sudhakar Babu, the session would be more in the nature of eliciting opinion of party leaders at all levels on how to make the party bounce back with new vigour and what should be the line of attack that the party should adopt to expose the BJP.
The APCC president, all vice presidents, general secretaries, presidents of district and city committees, presidents of youth wing, those of the Seva Dal and NSUI would attend the session. The delegates would be divided into groups of 154 members each and would discuss issues of immediate importance.
The discussions would also try to find a way out to regain the confidence of the sections that have moved away from the party including minorities, SCs, STs and other disadvantaged sections of society.
APCC vice-president Devineni Rajasekhar (Nehru), unleashing an offensive against chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, wanted to know why he is falling at the feet of prime minister Narendra Modi instead of standing up to him and demanding what is due to the state. 'By imploring and beseeching for what is rightfully due to the state, the chief minister is mortgaging the self respect of Telugus at the altar of the BJP,' he said.
