BJP announces candidates for TS MLC elections Hyderabad, Feb 12 (INN): The Telangana unit of Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday announced the candidates for the two Graduates' constituencies of Telangana Legislative Council which are going to polls on March 16.
While Ramchandra Rao will be the candidate from Mahaboobnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad constituency, Ram Mohan Rao has been named as BJP candidate from Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates' constituency.
These two seats will fall vacant following expiry of term of Dr K Nageshwar and Dileep Kumar Kapilavai, representing the Mahaboobnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates' constituencies respectively, on March 29.
As per the schedule announced by the ECI, the notification for the elections would be issued on 19th February; the last date of making nominations will be 26th February and they would be scrutinised on 27th February. The last date for withdrawal of candidature will be 2nd March and polling will be held on 16th March from 8 AM to 4 PM. The counting of votes will take place on 19th March.
