Vivek may join TRS to contest from Warangal HYDERABAD: Amidst the speculation of former Congress MP G Vivekanand alias Vivek joining the TRS and contesting the Warangal Lok Sabha seat, which fell vacant with Kadiam Srihari's induction into the state cabinet, Vivek met chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here.
Vivek, son of the late veteran leader G Venkatswamy, had contested the election in 2014 on Congress ticket but lost it. Interestingly, a little before that election he had joined the TRS but returned to the Congress in no time.
Emerging out of the meeting with Rao, Vivek, however, dismissed the reports as mere speculation. Sources, however, said Vivek was inclined to join the TRS if the party chose hom to contest the Lok Sabha seat.
