Demand for HC bifurcation gets louder HYDERABAD: Members participating at an all-party meeting demanded immediate bifurcation of the Hyderabad High Court. They also demanded that no judicial appointments be taken up till constitution of separate High Court for Andhra Pradesh.
Telangana JAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram, former Congress MP Madhu Yashki Goud, BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar, TDP MLC Narsa Reddy, National secretary of Judicial employees Association B Lakshma Reddy were among those present at the all-party meeting organised by the Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee (TAJAC) at TNGO bhavan here on Friday.
The leaders decided to participate in the agitations taken up by the TAJAC with regard to bifurcation of the existing high court and related issues. At the meeting, the members have decided to make representations to the Prime Minister, Chief Justice of India, Governor, chief ministers of Telangana and AP and the Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court on the issue.
TAJAC chairman M Rajender Reddy, members G Mohan Rao, T Sriranga Rao and others were present. Meanwhile, the TAJAC has called upon the advocates to continue their protests till Feb 20.
