Kishan Reddy accuses TRS govt of harassing partymen Hyderabad, February 14: Telangana State Bharatiya Janata Part president G Kishan Reddy has alleged harassment of sarpanches, local body elected representatives belonging to the BJP by ruling TRS leaders and that they were being denied government schemes and funds.
Kishan Reddy, while addressing a press conference here on Saturday said that a detailed report of harassment, assaults and discrimination of BJP peoples' representatives will be submitted to the Governor and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Several sarpanches, MPTC, ZPTC members, single window chairmen including women narrated harassment meted out to them by police, revenue officers at the behest of ruling party MLAs and Ministers.
He said that the TRS government was violating the spirit of 73 and 74 amendments to empower local bodies and playing a mind game to make non-TRS peoples representatives to join TRS.
He said BJP workers and leaders who fought for Telangana would not be cowed down by such attempts by TRS leaders to frustrate and intimidate them.
