Jinxed lover ends life on Valentine Day
KURNOOL: A 19-year-old girl, who was undergoing treatment for burns after a suicide attempt, slit her throat with a surgical knife at Nandyal government hospital on Valentine Day on Saturday.
According to police, Ammulu (19), a resident of Bonthalaveedi at Nandyal, hails from a poor family. She tried to end life by setting herself on fire one and a half months ago due to love failure.
Her family members shifted her to Kurnool government general hospital and after 40 days of treatment, doctors referred her to Nandyal government hospital for general treatment two days ago.
In the small hours of Saturday, she took a surgical blade without the knowledge of nursing staff and cut her throat and died. A case was registered, CI Naidu said.
