BJP seeks TDP support in MLC elections
HYDERABAD: Even as the political circles were speculating an emergence of new alliance between TRS and BJP, the latter approached the Telangana TDP seeking their support for the party in the ensuing elections to the Graduates MLC Constituencies to be held in March.
BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar and senior leader N Ramachadra Rao, who is contesting the Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahbubnagar Graduates seat met TTDP leaders at the latter's party office and sought their party's support to the BJP candidates who will be contesting the two Graduates MLC constituency elections.
The TTDP leaders reportedly assured that they would extend their support to the BJP in the MLC elections. TTDP leader E Dayakar Rao said that they are ready to ally with the BJP in local bodies and also byelections to Assembly seats.
