Man charred to death as car catches fire HYDERABAD:A 45-year-old security manager of a private company in Gachibowli was charred to death after the car he was driving caught fire when a speeding DCM van hit the vehicle. The accident took place at Mokila locality under Shankerpally police limits of Ranga Reddy district. The deceased has been identified as Kumar Mishra.
Around 1 p.m., as Mishra reached Mokila in his car, a DCM collided head-on. In the mishap, the front portion of Mishra's car was damaged completely. After the incident fire broke out from the engine and flames engulfed the vehicle, said Shankerpally SI M Renuka Reddy.
'The man was unable to come out and the doors were locked. We suspect that he was unconscious. Had he been conscious, he would have tried to come out after the vehicle caught fire. We visited the spot immediately and found his charred body. The DCM driver is absconding,' Renuka Reddy said.
